Second Place: Christopher's Runaway Gormay

Third Place: Pizza Tonight

A few years ago, no one knew what fusion tacos were. Now, because of the marketing skills of owner Patrick Harris, the Boka Tako fleet is a local institution. Fusion tacos that blend Asian, Latin and American flavors have a mainstream following at food truck courts, downtown at lunchtime, and in various Twitter-announced locations across the city. Boka trucks spawned Grate Pizza this year, meaning fans have more options to taste the fusion flavors that Harris enjoys concocting. Lunchtime always gets better in springtime, when Christopher's Runaway Gormay returns with good weather and sets up carts downtown. Many an office worker makes a daily meal of the carts' pastas and salads, and unusual options of fruit and cheese with French bread. Another favorite comes with its own oven, no matter what the venue. Pizza Tonight's rig may be mobile, but its place among fans is rock-solid, and it tends to sell out of pies wherever it goes.
