San Diego indie rockers Pinback — the brainchild of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Armistead Burwell Smith IV and Rob Crow — released their self-titled debut in early 1999, scoring immediate critical success backed by their popularity in West Coast indie-rock circles. After a string of releases, Pinback’s fourth full-length album, “Autumn of the Seraphs,” released in 2007, won rave reviews from NPR and Rolling Stone.
