Westover Community Care Fair
Join TransJam Events in collaboration with Westover Hills UMC and come support showing care & support soute of the river!
At Westover Hills Community Care Fair you can both get resources/supplies AND give back to those in need!
THE GIVE-A-THON:
We’re excited to show our love to RVA Community Fridges, a local org that priovdes FREE food 24/7 through 14 Fridges placed all around our city — through holding our Give-A-Thon to support their incredible efforts.
Folks can simply collect crucially needed items for the fridges: cleaning cupplies & canned good as we head into the warm summer months.
•Collect Pop-top canned goods, papertowels, cleaning needs.
•Earn 1 point per item you collect. (Ex: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 bottle of all-purpose cleaner, 1 can of beans.)
•Bring items to Westover Hills UMC for the Community Care Fair to donate to RVA Community Fridges on May 31
•WINNERS (youth & adult) will be awarded with a plaque to display your incredible accomplishments AND some RVA Community Fridges swag!
COMMUNITY CARE FAIR:
•Support/Connect with local orgs & mutual aid groups such as RVA Community Fridges, He, She, Ze & We, Phases Therapy & More!
•Shop with and support 15 local LGBTQ+ makers and artists
•Enjoy music & kid Fun Area w/ facepainting, bubbles, crafts, chalk & more!
•Engage with your community & find out more about how you can give or get support!
