The Hard Season: The final songs of Garrett Berneche performed by his friends + ShotClock and Endless Mike
For over a decade Garrett Berneche was actively involved in several DIY music scenes across Virginia before his untimely death from cancer in November, 2019. Before he passed, he recorded demos of the last 7 songs he ever wrote. Earlier this year, some of his oldest friends recorded these songs to honor his memory. This project is called The Hard Season. It grapples with friendship, loss, and hope despite an uncertain future. This is their only planned live performance. Profits will go to Garrett’s immediate family.
Two bands that had strong ties to Garrett during his life open the show: Endless Mike and the Beagle Club and ShotClock.
