Supporting ACTS: A 20th Year Celebration!

ACTS is excited to celebrate its 20th year of service at its annual fundraising event, which will take place Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the University of Richmond’s Jepson Alumni Center in Richmond, Va. This signature event showcases ACTS’ ongoing commitment to preventing homelessness in the Richmond area by providing financial assistance and community resources. To mark the achievement of 20 years of service, ACTS is honoring its five founding congregations: First Baptist Church, Grace & Holy Trinity Church, Second Presbyterian Church, St. James’s Episcopal Church, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
The event will bring together community leaders, advocates and partners, all of whom are vital to ACTS’ commitment to preventing homelessness and have been pillars of support throughout ACTS’ 20 years of service.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating 20 years of serving the Richmond community,” said William Poarch, CEO of ACTS. “This event is crucial to our mission, not only to raise funds to keep our neighbors in their homes, but also to celebrate the passion and dedication that served as the catalyst for ACTS’ creation more than 20 years ago. We would not have been able to achieve 20 years of service without our supporters, we hope the event shows them how appreciative we are”
The evening will feature food, spirits, games and a live auction. Guests will have the opportunity to hear compelling speakers and bid on items during the live auction.
Funds raised from the event will directly support ACTS’ Emergency Financial Assistance Program, which provides critical financial assistance to keep people in their homes. Through these contributions, ACTS can continue its mission of preventing homelessness by providing financial support and community resources to neighbors facing housing crises.
