History Hot Spot at the Kent-Valentine House
Join the Valentine for our upcoming History Hot Spot tour of the Kent-Valentine House, one of Richmond’s most elegant 19th-century residences and the current headquarters of the Garden Club of Virginia. Built in 1845 by planter and businessman Horace Kent, this Greek revival home later became the residence of Granville G. Valentine. From its early days as a private residence to its role as a social hub and its current stewardship by the Garden Club of Virginia, the Kent-Valentine House is a marvel of Richmond architecture and preservation.
