Dominion Energy Cap Trail 10M & 5k

Lace up your sneakers and get ready to race into fall! The Dominion Energy Cap Trail 10M & 5k is back on Saturday, October 25, inviting runners, walkers, and fall lovers alike to celebrate the season with a spirited run/walk along the scenic Virginia Capital Trail.

Hosted by the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, this fall-favorite event features a fully supported 10-mile and 5k route on the beautiful, paved, and vehicle-free Virginia Capital Trail. Enjoy stunning river views, vibrant fall colors, top-finisher prizes by Lucky Road Run Shop, costume contests, and a post-run celebration at Stone Brewing. Additional features include on-site packet pickup, cup-less water stations, bag drop, course support, and festive fall vibes from start to finish.

Before the race, participants can take part in a community costume contest with prizes awarded for best adult, child, and group costume, so bring your Halloween spirit! Registrants also receive a commemorative, moisture-wicking race shirt and a celebratory drink ticket for crossing the finish line.

Early bird pricing is $40 for the 10-mile and $35 for the 5k. Sign up before October 1st to save! Youth under 18 get $15 off their registration, and there’s a $5 discount when you refer three or more friends. Plus, members of Richmond, Colonial, and Tri-Cities Road Runner Clubs receive $5 off race fees.

All proceeds benefit the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation’s work to protect, promote, and enhance the 51.7-mile Virginia Capital Trail.
