Designer Discussion with Kenny Nguyen
Ever wondered how silk becomes sculpture?
In Confluence, artist Kenny Nguyen transforms hand-cut silk into sculptural forms that blur the boundaries between painting, textile, and installation. Layer by layer, wave by wave, silk becomes both material and metaphor for transformation.
Join us on Thursday, October 2, from 6–8 PM, as Nguyen takes us inside his process during a special Designer Discussion at The Branch Museum of Design.
The conversation will be moderated by Renee Lamb, professor in the VCUarts Fashion Department, who brings over 20 years of experience working with textiles.
Student tickets available with valid ID. Free parking is available in the First Baptist lot next to the museum (enter from Robinson or Park).
