Birdhouse Farmers Market Spring 2026 Silent Auction

April 26 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Event Series (See All)
$35.00

Birdhouse Farmers Market is excited to host its 1st Spring Silent Auction. This fundraising event will be held at Stock Bistro & Bar in Manchester on April 26, 2026, from 5 to 8 pm. Stock will be offering a cash bar and serving small bites. The award-winning Garden Variety String Band will be playing bluegrass and old-time music. We will sell tickets for $35 per person. The goal is to raise funds to support the many programs of Birdhouse, all of which are designed to build our local food system and make healthy local foods available to everyone. This year, more than ever, with increasing funding uncertainty, this auction will help Birdhouse to continue as the invaluable community asset it has become.

When you make a donation, purchase a dinner ticket, bid on an auction item, become a Friend or Sponsor, or a monthly donor, or shop at Birdhouse, you’re helping to support a small but mighty organization dedicated to building a healthy local food system for everyone.

Birdhouse has always been a little different, a little quirky, a little idealistic and always, always outstanding. From our beginning in 2007 as a program of the William Byrd Community House (WBCH), in Oregon Hill, we’ve attracted the best local farmers and food producers. Sub Rosa Bakery, Nate’s Bagels and The Mayor Meats, all got their start at Birdhouse. From Day 1 we accepted SNAP and almost immediately we started doubling benefits, making fresh local foods more affordable and more accessible. When WBCH closed its doors in 2016 and we moved up the street to Randolph, so did Amy’s Garden, Tomten Farm, Agriberry, Sub Rosa and so many more. Now, long settled in our new home, Birdhouse attracts more talented food producers and farmers than can be mentioned here.

When Covid hit, we pivoted and established a year-round online market which we continue to maintain, making great food available to those who find it difficult to attend or navigate the market. We now have a community garden in the truest sense of the word. Our garden is not individual plots to rent, rather a large communal area, designed, maintained and enjoyed by all those interested. Birdhouse Community Garden provides yet another way to access healthy fresh food, by learning to grow your own or sharing what we grow. Birdhouse also maintains a relationship with two area food pantries providing them with food from Birdhouse farms and food producers.

At Birdhouse you’ll find great food, a yoga class, helpful volunteers, a chef or two shopping (because they know where to find the best ingredients), music, a kid’s activity tent, and a place to just sit down and relax, cuz this is what we do and who we are. This is the Birdhouse way, a little different, a little quirky, a little idealistic, and always, always outstanding.

We thank you for your support.
