Base-Building 101 Training

Join Virginia Student Power Network + 3 other Virginia-based student organizing groups on Tuesday, 10/28 from 5p–7p ET as we host a virtual discussion on one of the most essential elements of grassroots organizing: base-building!

What is base-building?

We know that mobilizing isn’t enough⏤strong movements are built by strong foundations. That means doing the hard work of nurturing relationships and inviting people to make a long-term commitment to growing power with your organization, or for your cause!

You can expect:
-opportunities to develop relationships with comrades from across the state
-space to share what’s happening on your campus or in your community
-learn how other youth are taking action this semester
-discuss challenges we’re collectively facing in this moment
-time to practice your basebuilding skills
