Ages 17 and up. Join us at the Hanover Branch for our VA250 American Stories with David Flanagan! This months lecture, ‘We Hold These Truths,’ will tell the story of Thomas Jefferson’s writing of the Declaration of Independence. Everything in young Jefferson’s life led him to become the author of America’s most important founding document. What Jefferson wrote 250 years ago still resonates as a love letter to the future with the hope of true equality and opportunity for all of mankind.
