Since the CW’s hit show “One Tree Hill” debuted in 2003, it’s been a showcase of indie musicians. The show’s latest prodigy is singer-songwriter Kate Voegele, who plays a musician breaking into the business, something Voegele knows quite well. Winner of the 2006 New York Songwriters Circle Award for Pop Song of the Year, Voegele stands out for her unique voice, and millions of devotees are listening. Her evocative lyrics tell of the trials that come with being a young woman: losing love, dealing with pain and, somehow, finding yourself.
