What do tapas (the heavy, but very tasty appetizers) and flamenco dancing have in common? Both are commonly associated with Spain. And both are on the menu this Saturday during “A Night of Tapas” at .

This is the second time Chez Foushee has hosted a dining event combining creative food and interesting entertainment. The restaurant brought in a flamenco guitarist and dancer the first time early this past spring. The night really bucked the Richmond dining tradition of quiet jazz and polite coughing. And you know what? It was a huge success.

So the restaurant is trying it again. With reservations at Chez Foushee this Saturday (July 15), you’ll hear the more energetic sounds of a flamenco guitar (recorded, the guitarist couldn’t make it this time), and you’ll see professional flamenco dancing again by Ana King, director of the Latin Ballet of Virginia. She’ll have Will Sterling, also of the Latin Ballet, as her partner.

Of course there will be plenty of hot culinary steps taken as well. The four-course, pre-set menu begins with tapas-style appetizers, followed by two courses of entrees and dessert.

The two seatings take place at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Reservations must be made, and the cost is $40 per person. Corner of Grace and Foushee streets.
