Sunny’s Goodtime Paints has relocated to a new candy-colored retail store at 5703 Grove Avenue. “We love pink,” Operations Manager Lucy Ackerly says of the begonia storefront.
Ackerly’s amazed how the move has changed Sunny’s from a part-time warehouse to a full community business, she says.
The retail store focuses on interior design concepts that make your home worthy of Architectural Digest, yet the process is surprisingly simple, she says: “We’ve tried to make it as idiot-proof as possible!”
Customers can paint their rooms, furniture or fabric with their own undercoat, then stop by Sunny’s to create the finished look: The store offers a wealth of glazes, color combinations, aging techniques and stencil patterns. Customers can even experiment on the store’s walls.
There’s other change for Sunny’s in the works, including a new Web site (www.sunnysgoodtimepaint.com), book and merchandise. The store’s planning a grand opening for Sept. 21, from 6-8 p.m. S
