Curious about how to care for a treasured family heirloom, and what its current value is? Bring it to Maymont, Saturday, October 4, for a brief one-on-one consultation (per item) with professional appraisers and conservation specialists. Discover the historic context of your hidden treasures, from paintings and rugs to silver and china — as long as it’s easily portable — in consultation with professionals from Jeff Evans Appraisals, the Virginia Conservation Association and Maymont’s Historic Resources staff. All proceeds help Maymont care for its historic and natural collections. $25 per item (no gemstones or furs).
