Virginia’s Executive Mansion is the oldest continually occupied governor’s house in the nation, and the current home of Gov. Bob McDonnell and his family. See the mansion on Capitol Hill decked out for the holidays by Virginia decorator and designer James Abel. The theme for the decorations is Christmas in the 1860s, which coincides with the shooting of the Lincoln film. The Executive Mansion Holiday Open House is open to the public Dec. 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and no appointment necessary. 371-8687.
