XOXO, Plato

Though I can't get on the show (no matter how many taxidermied squirrels I send to Blake Lively), at least one Richmond entity has made it through the CW's ranks to land a spot on “Gossip Girl.”

Indie rock band We Know, Plato!'s song “Satellites” earned a place in the soundtrack of uber-rich bitchery after the band's publisher got a call from a Warner Bros. exec who loved the four-piece's sound, reports drummer Daniel Medley, and wanted it for either “Gossip Girl” or “Without a Trace.”

The synth-and-harmonizing rock evidently seemed better suited to the sex lives of elite teens than craggy FBI agents tracking down missing persons, so the song appeared in the Nov. 10 “Gossip Girl” episode along with three Kings of Leon songs and a tune by Cyndi Lauper (who won't stop sending me taxidermied rabbits). We Know, Plato! plays the Pour House Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 p.m. with Lucky Day. $3. 364-9083.
