Re-opening: And after all the closings in the past week, it’s a relief to hear that Kanoa Latin Cuisine, at 417 W. Grace St., isn’t closing for good– the menu is getting a makeover. In a couple of weeks, it will reemerge as Alera Mexican Restaurant. Bigger and Better: Strangeways Brewing is planning to open a new production plant in Fredericksburg, to the tune of $2.5 million, Richmond BizSense reports. “It’s actually the building we used to run our chain of seven clothing stores from,” founder Neil Burton, a Fredericksburg native, says. strangewaysbrewing.com.
