To the Reader: Nine Restaurant Reviews Pulled From Style Weekly

Style Weekly learned this week that a former freelance writer for Style Weekly plagiarized portions of at least two restaurant reviews in 2015.

We apologize to our readers and to the restaurants that were the subject of those reviews. The former reviewer, Elliott Shaffner, contributed nine restaurant reviews to Style in 2015, and we have pulled those from the website.

Shaffner ended her reviews for Style in December to become the food critic at the Richmond Times-Dispatch, which parted ways with her this week after finding multiple reviews that included passages taken from Los Angeles Times reviewer and Pulitzer Prize-winner Jonathan Gold.
