We enter our new year with a special thanks to you, for continuing — and in many cases, beginning — to make Style Weekly one of your key sources for local news, arts, culture, entertainment and opinion.
In an era when publications on newsprint seem to be tumbling all around us, we were encouraged to learn last week that you've helped Style Weekly's print readership increase 15.6 percent in the past year. That's according to the most recent findings of independent media company Scarborough Research, based on its sweeping biannual survey of the Richmond media market.
Scarborough reports that Style has reached an average weekly readership of 79,103. What's more, those readers, like you, continue to be the ones who are interested, engaged and have a stake in our community.
While we also see online readership climb at StyleWeekly.com, we're encouraged and proud that you continue to enjoy the kind of publication that you can hold in your hands. We don't take you for granted. We'll continue to work diligently to connect you with your community and produce the kinds of information that help you make better decisions. And in the coming year we plan to print more papers, and distribute them in more locations, for you.
Please continue to share your feedback with us at letters@styleweekly.com.
