Peruse the schedule for Innsbrook After Hours this season, and you might be stumped as to the common thread that runs among the artists. Look at this week: Southern jam band and hairy rock gentlemen Gov’t Mule kick off the season Wednesday, April 18 ($10-$30), and Saturday, April 21, here comes the guitar-strumming sisterly love of the Indigo Girls ($12.50-$35). Probably not a lot of overlap on those shows (high tattoo ratio?). Consider the rest of the lineup: The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Weird Al Yankovic, Sara Evans. There is one thing in common with all these bands — everyone lost their virginity to a song by one of these musical acts. Even Weird Al? Even Weird Al: “Dare to Be Stupid.” It’s why they’re still so loved, why people return with high nostalgia, why you’ll be there, eventually, with a sheepish grin on your face.
