Becoming one with nature doesn’t mean giving up food trucks and craft beer. See how the party environment comes together at Style Weekly’s annual RVA Earth Day Festival. The free outdoor event, which drew 6,000 people to Manchester last year, showcases Richmond’s green artists, farmers and businesses, along with tips and resources for incorporating eco-friendly practices into your life. The day features music from such popular Richmond bands as the Garbers, Farm Vegas, the No BS Brass Band, the Southern Belles and White Laces. Other attractions include children’s activities, sustainable workshops, an outdoor gear swap, shad fishing and scores of vendors. Proceeds benefit FeedRVA, which supports communities’ access to healthy foods. The RVA Earth Day Festival take place in Manchester, running from the riverfront to First through Fourth streets, on Saturday, April 20, noon to 7 p.m. Free. rvaearthdayfest.org.
