The Return of RVA Hot Sauce at Gallery5

Sunday, Dec. 8. 6:30 p.m.

Nobody likes a cheat, but it’s difficult not to like the Richmond underground cultural blog the Cheats Movement. Covering the city’s vast array of music, art and cultural activities since 2011, each post offers insightful commentary, video and photography on happenings that otherwise might go unnoticed. In a nutshell, the Cheats Movement is what Chuck D. of Public Enemy envisioned when he said rap music was the CNN of the black community. The blog plays host to the Return of RVA Hot Sauce on Sunday, Dec. 8, at Gallery5, featuring performances by the Photosynthesizers, Anousheh, J.D. Haze, Ohbliv, Radio B, Michael Millions, Noah O, the Richmond Comedy Coalition and others in colorblind celebration of community. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $8 in advance and $10 at the door. gallery5arts.org.
