Angela M. Orrell’s photography show at the Petersburg Area Art League Gallery, “From the Seed to the Hand,” captures the lives on a tobacco-farm in Dinwiddie County. From the landowners to the workers, Orrell’s photographic documentary, printed on a textured fiber, and the essays that accompany it illustrate the generations-old methods of harvesting a plant that is as much a symbol of the economy as the Confederate currency once was.
