The Party Liberation Front at Gallery5 and Strange Matter

Friday, April 3

As its name suggests, the Party Liberation Front is militant about good-time enabling. The battle-tested collective of fire and circus performers, DJs, visual artists, dancers, musicians and poets have vanquished many Richmond fun burglars to the dustbin of indifference. Its performers bring a double-dose of stimulations on Friday, April 3. They’ll help Gallery5 celebrate its 10th year of existence from 7-10:30 p.m. with a free-to-attend onslaught of fire dancing, DJ sets and band performances to coincide with the gallery’s First Friday opening. The party continues at Strange Matter with the dance-based, electronic sounds of Gibson from Santa Barbara, Baltimore’s Soohan and Manifest and the crowd-pleasing, block-rocking beats of longtime Richmond DJs Mr. Jennings and Reinhold. Doors open at 10:30 p.m. Admission is $5. strangematterrva.com.
