The race isn’t the only part of Xterra. The weekend features a variety of events, kicking off with Friday Cheers on Brown’s Island June 11.
June 12: Offers events for kids, including a sprint, challenge stations and a bike skills riding course. The day also features a car show, an expo featuring “Xterra University,” and a variety of races, including a bike, canoe and kayak race.
June 13: The expo continues. The big race starts at 10:30 a.m. Watch from Brown’s Island, the north shore of Belle Isle or a spot in Forest Hill Park. The award ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m.
