Continuing the theme of last week’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, Richmond goes green again this weekend. The Church Hill Irish Festival, held Saturday and Sunday, March 21-22, is one of the city’s premiere cultural events. Overflowing with vendors, a 5-kilometer run, children’s activities, food, beer and entertainment, it’s easy to see why the masses have flocked to the beloved event for 29 years. Proceeds from the festival benefit a host of worthy charities and organizations, including the St. Baldrick’s Society and its fight against childhood cancer, St. Patrick’s Church, ChildSavers’ Clinic of Richmond and the Church Hill Association. The festivities commence each day at 10 a.m. Admission is $5. Call 356-1093 or visit churchhillirishfestival.com. — Chris Bopst
