The Can Utility

Their recently released CD “Afternoon Shave” is a bit dated as far as post-punk manifestos go. Singer/bassist Noelle Schintzius admits it’s a little strange to hear songs written between two and three years ago, but says the band has refocused and streamlined its sound since she signed on and took over vocal duties. “We’ve gotten a lot tighter as a band, a lot better,” she says. The Can Utility will try to prove it Sunday (May 26) at Hole in the Wall, 10 p.m. $3.
