The Brake Pad race viewing area to open at the 17th Street Farmers Market

On the last and what is expected to be the biggest day of the bike races, the 17th Street Farmers Market will serve as a viewing area complete with craft beer and local eats.

Racers competing in the over 160-mile Men’s Elite Road Circuit will whizz past market, which is being dubbed The Brake Pad, on Sunday. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., craft beer and cider including selections from Ardent Craft Ales, Blue Bee Cider, Isley Brewing Company, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, Stone Brewing Co. and Triple Crossing Brewing will be served. Food from Shockoe Bottom restaurants such as The Halligan Bar & Grill, River City Diner, Havana 59, C’est Le Vin and Rosie Connolly’s will also be featured.
