A collaboration that began in the '70s after a bad night of Chinese food, the B-52's have survived the past 30 years delivering manic, danceable tunes. After 16 years out of the studio, the party animals have released a new album that catches them up with the 21st century. Synthesizers and lovely harmonies give “Funplex” a familiar “Love Shack” feel, and songs such as “Hot Corner” — in which the energetic band sings, “I-I-I-I am looking for some fun” — demonstrate the group still knows how to throw a party. The B-52s perform at the Innsbrook Pavilion Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. $13-$35. 794-6700. — Lauren Nicole Hill
