This always popular event dedicated to that sweet summer fruit, the watermelon, generally draws quite a few juice-happy people to Carytown. This year, Virginia Virtual Academy, a tuition-free program of the public schools of Richmond and King and Queen and Patrick counties, will be making a special appearance, and there will be 80 musicians and more than 100 exhibitors, plus a big kids area and … oh yeah, more than 3,000 watermelons, baby. 10 a.m. Free. carytownrva.com.
