Started in 2008 by a group of Virginia Commonwealth University students, RVA Fashion Week is now overseen by a board of directors and continues to grow into one of the area’s top showcases for designers, models, producers, choreographers and stylists. There are numerous events planned throughout the week that you can read about on the rvafashionweek.com website, but the 10th annual runway show will be held at the Jefferson Hotel on Saturday, April 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. showcasing designs from 707, Destiny Howard, House of LaPosh and Tangee’s Closet. Tickets for that show cost $75.
