Superman Panel Discussion at Weinstein JCC

Tuesday, Nov. 12. 7 p.m.

Faster than a speeding bullet, Superman — the comic-book character created by Cleveland, Ohio, high-school students Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1933 — is a beloved part of the American vernacular. In his new book, “Superman: the High-Flying History of America’s Most Enduring Hero,” award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author Larry Tye chronicles the seven-decade history of the Man of Steel from cartoon character to movie star. The lifelong fan of the über-patriot from Krypton discusses his engrossing history of the fictional character and his effect on popular culture Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Weinstein JCC. The discussion starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 for nonmembers and $10 for members of the JCC. weinsteinjcc.org.
