Style & Substance: Fabric of Life

Amid a billowing set of organic blues and browns, it was standing room only at Toad’s Place on the canal Aug. 18. More than 300 friends and family joined businesses and volunteers at the second annual Cure by Design fashion show to benefit the American Cancer Society. Out on the catwalk, roughly 40 models glided like true fashion-mag glitterati, raising money for research so others with cancer might have a chance to walk in their shoes.

Belle asked attendees about the style behind the substance that night.
