On the Willey Bandwagon
Last week we broke the story that Kathleen Willey had reported a break-in at her Powhatan County home over Labor Day weekend. But what got people talking, naturally, was Willey’s suspicion that a “Clinton operative” was the burglar and had stolen a copy of her manuscript for “Target: In the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton,” due out in November.
Willey has kept a low profile since being swept into a national scandal a decade ago, alleging that then-President Bill Clinton groped her in the Oval Office in 1993. She maintains, however, that she’s received numerous threats from the Clinton camp since.
Willey’s stolen-manuscript story has garnered skeptics, but she soon had supporters weighing in, including David Schippers, chief counsel for Clinton’s impeachment trial.
WorldNetDaily.com reports that Schippers “told Willey he had a remarkably similar experience prior to publication of his best-selling book and believes the Clintons also were behind it.” He says he had several break-ins in the spring of 2000 while he was writing “Sellout: The Inside Story of President Clinton’s Impeachment.”
Also in Willey’s corner: Rush Limbaugh, who offered this: “As I’ve said countless times, where the Clintons are involved, there is no coincidence.”
As of Sept. 10, Willey tells us there are no updates on the investigation into her break-in by the Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office.
