Upstate New Yorkers Eric Krasno, with brothers Alan and Neal Evans, have spent the past decade celebrating the spirit of funk with an improvisational jazz delivery. A primarily instrumental trio and its stable of guest vocalists, Soulive has enjoyed critical praise throughout its career, sharing the stage with the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, the Roots and Stevie Wonder. Recently forming its own record label, the band's latest album “Up Here,” returns to form featuring plenty of groove-driven arrangements, gritty organ, spidery guitar flicks and soulful horns. Opening for the Original Wailers, Soulive plays Innsbrook Pavilion on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 5:30 p.m. $13-$15. 794-6700. — Mike Hilleary
