With VCR, one hardly needs an excuse to go to a show, which always ends up being a supersynthesized dance party anyway. But hey, Richmond’s five-piece is putting out its second album (its first full-length) — “Power Destiny” — and as with most sophomore efforts, this one promises to show their serious, introspective side, toning down the bleeping rock and focusing on loss and love and … Hey, no, come on, they still sound like an explosion in a new wave factory, and all those blips and blorps you’ve come to love have survived intact.
