Taking their name from a priceless quote from “The Simpsons” elementary-school idiot Ralph Wiggum (“Oh boy, sleep! That’s where I’m a Viking!”), Florida six-piece Sleepy Viking has generated healthy buzz after delivering a number of head-turning performances at music festivals such as North by Northeast, South by Southwest and the College Music Journal Music Marathon. Centering its sound on jangly, shoe-gazing guitar work and the feminine coo of lead vocalist Tessa McKenna, the band swells with sonic texture and hazy hooks.
