Richmond’s own talented smooth jazz singer Sharon North has been described as sassy and sensual: “Nina Simone with a little bit of Della and Ella tossed in.” She’s opened for Bob James, Lonnie Liston Smith and Patti Labelle. Her recent single, “Lonely Nites,” spent 11 weeks on the Billboard Smooth Jazz chart, peaking at No. 15. She should have a new single, possibly an album, by midsummer, she says. $15-$20.
