Rotunda Allen of Richmond mourns the death of her friend Kiarri Edwards, 34, at a vigil Sunday night on Dinwiddie Avenue. Edwards, a father of three, was killed in a triple shooting on the same street March 31 at 11:16 p.m. The two other victims survived.

Richmond police closed down a section of the street where dozens of Edwards’ family members and friends gathered. “It’s praying time,” vigil organizer Alicia Rasin said. “I pray in the name of Jesus that the persons that have taken Kee Kee’s life will be apprehended.” Police were still searching for the shooter as of Monday.

Edwards was the city’s eighth homicide victim this year.
