In all fairness, popular music has never been shy when it comes to lyrical references about bedroom recreational activities — you know, a good booty-bumping. From Bob Dylan (“Lay Lady Lay”), to AC/DC (“You Shook Me All Night Long”), to the sexual healer himself, Marvin Gaye (“Let's Get It On”), many a musician has ventured behind closed-door territory. Yet even the biggest proponent of liberated wordplay can't help but think Saving Abel's undeserved hit single, “Addicted,” is a little too tactless and crass for its own good. It's just, well, really, really awful to listen to. It's particularly uncomfortable when you catch someone singing along to it in his car all by himself. Still, if you're into that sort of thing, you can catch them with their musical carbon copies Anberlin, Safetysuit and Against Grace for 102.1's Not So Silent Night at Toad's Place on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. $15-$20. 800-514-3849.– Mike Hilleary
