If you’re a geek for anime, comics, gaming, technology, design and electronic music, you’re in luck this weekend. RVACon 14, the second annual bash conceived in the summer of 2012 by Jimmy Budd and Alex Gentile, takes place Friday through Sunday, Oct. 24-26, at the Canal Club. The three-day convention is a multimedia blitz of electronic creations featuring interactive seminars, contests, comedy, giveaways. Plus, watch live performances by the Nintendo Game Boy melody maker from Philadelphia, Chipocrite, and local Ableton Live beat-pusher, Akasha. With an emphasis on hands-on involvement, RVACon hopes to end the era of couch-potato passivity for the new age of active-spud boy and girl engagement. Tickets are $15-$35. rvacon.org.
