Voting for Style Weekly’s 2015 Best of Richmond opened this week and Rosie Soul and the Rock and Roll Cowboys have a special message: they don’t want their fans to vote for them this year.

In a video released on the band’s YouTube page this week, lead singer Rosie Soul expresses thanks for all the support and explains how the band wants its fans to spread the musical love around: “There’s lots and lots of talent in Richmond. Go see them, you find somebody that you think is awesome and you put a new name in that ballot.”

Readers have voted Rosie Soul and the Rock and Roll Cowboys “Best Local Rock Band” for the past three years.
