A little something for the kids, a little something for the family, and a little something for the greedy — that’s what TV is offering for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

For the youngsters, Tim Allen provides answers to some of the season’s most perplexing questions — like how Santa can come down your chimney if you don’t have a fireplace — when “The Wonderful World of Disney” screens 1994’s “The Santa Clause” on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m.

Over on PAX-TV, crotchety Mr. Magoo stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in an animated classic based on Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” on Thanksgiving at 5 p.m. As always, Magoo’s gruff voice is provided by Jim Backus. PAX will also rebroadcast last year’s “Veggie Tales Christmas Spectacular” on Saturday at 7 p.m. Mixing humor and song, the story’s message is that it’s more important to understand what Christmas means than it is to get presents.

For teens, there’s a full hour of Ricky Martin shaking his bon bon on CBS Friday at 8 p.m.. With a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Performance this year and more than 15 million recordings sold worldwide, Martin is appearing in his first-ever network special.

If you’re past the pop-star stage and yearning for a love story starring two grown-ups, Julie Andrews and James Garner (who both starred in “The Americanization of Emily” in 1964 and 1982’s “Victor/Victoria”) reunite for “One Special Night” Sunday at 9 p.m. They play strangers who take refuge in a cabin during a blizzard.

On Friday night at 8, ABC presents the network TV debut of the 1996 film “Jingle All the Way.” Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad team up with Phil Hartman and Jim Belushi for the story of a workaholic father searching for the season’s hottest toy.

“Forrest Gump” will air on ABC on Thanksgiving at 8 p.m. Named Best Film in 1994, it stars Tom Hanks, Robin Wright and Gary Sinese in the story of a man whose IQ is not the greatest, but whose heart is superior.

And just to prove that the season can bring out the worst in us, too, FOX-TV will air “Greed: The Multi-Million Dollar Challenge” on Wednesday night at 8. Five players compete to win a top prize of $2 million — and try to take money away from their co-contestants in the
