PackFan, not sure if you're just joking, but I'm referring to buying the politician's individual votes supporting the donors' agendas. Not buying the public's votes. So for example, the study showed that state politicians receiving an average of about $17,000 in donations from a company or industry were significantly more likely to vote in favor of the donor on relevant bills. With this cost per vote, some industries save literal billions in tax dollars while only forking over a few million to buy a majority in a state legislature. Pretty amazing return on investment.

Nice. I remember seeing a study a few years ago that rated the average cost to buy a state politician's votes at around $17,000 in campaign contributions. You can buy quite a few votes with $2.15 million. I guess the question is, "What do we do about it?"
