Violet Bell brings thoughtful melody to In Your Ear's Studio A. The duo is Omar Ruiz-Lopez and Lizzy Ross. Ross is a songwriter who tried her hand in Nashville before returning to more receptive soil in North Carolina. Ruiz-Lopez is a music educator and sideman who plays a staggering array of instruments (violin, viola, cello, guitar, mandolin, banjo). Ross thinks melodically and lyrically;Ruiz-Lopez thinks in tones, textures and colors. “For a long time I had wanted to work in something I felt really aligned with,” he says. “Lizzy came, and all of the sudden there’s this." Potluck buffet precedes show.
