VCUarts Presents Two Days of Lectures and Performances by Contemporary Black Artists

The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts Department of Sculpture + Extended Media is pleased to present Perfoming History, a series of events that bring together contemporary black artists for a robust discussion of identity through art that modifies, plays with and reframes the historical record with object-making and performance. Invited guests include London-based artist and author Samson Kambalu, and New York-based artists Sable E. Smith and Steffani Jemison. These events are free and open to the public.
