Re: “Popular New Hoodie Features Altered Lee Monument

Popular with who? Never seen one. However, Ive seen many new Monument shirts and other momentos selling like hot cakes since all of this monument removal nonsense began. It looks like the leftist hate has actuality fueled a monument appreciation revival. I wonder when they will learn to leave us alone? #winning

Re: “Old Virginny

For the life of me, I can't understand how flying a super sized U.S. Flag is supposed to somehow "counter" the Va Flaggers...?

While I am the proud descendant of 4 Confederate Soldiers, I am ALSO the proud descendant of men who fought for the United States in every war before and since and have NOTHING against the display of a U.S. Flag. Since the American Revolution, the Southern Soldier has served with distinction and honor in EVERY war in which he was called. Duty and sacrifice are in our DNA. It would do these folks well to remember that the most decorated American soldiers in both WWI and WWII were...that's right, Southerners.

Southerners have always been among the most patriotic of Americans. If we are to believe the media, it appears that the Va Flaggers have apparently sparked a sudden display of good old-fashioned patriotism amongst the RVA Confederate-haters. WHO'DA THUNK IT?

Re: “In Cooch We Trust

Typical liberal tactics. When you can't find any dirt on a conservative candidate, or have any substantive arguments to convey, dish out garbage like this, mocking everything from his values to our history. Nice. Stay classy, Style Weekly.

Re: “Richmond Courts Gays, Snubs Confederates?

"The role of emancipation on the war"? Who, exactly, needs to learn to read here? Great commentary, as usual, Billy Yank. Thanks for making an appearance.

Re: “Richmond Courts Gays, Snubs Confederates?

Spot on, Mr. Bowling. All one needs do is take a look at the theme of the Sesquicentennial "On To Richmond", the Yankee battle cry, to realize that Southerners and our heritage are not welcome here. The Virginia Civil War Sesquicentennial adds insult to the injury by completely ignoring the sacrifice and honor of the well over 32,000 Virginians who gave their lives in defense of their hearth and homes, and at the request of the State of Virginia. Richmond will pay dearly in tourist dollars and reputation before the Sesquicentennial ends, as it being changed from being the Capital of the Confederacy and virtual mecca for War Between the States enthusiasts, to a shrine to all things immoral and indecent. Congratulations, are driving the final nails in the coffin of a once great city.
