His counsel was sought by the likes of Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, but he chose to make his career at the famous Tuskegee Institute, creating thing as as varied as lamp oil, plastics, cosmetics and medicines. An amazing man, and a fascinating story to celebrate Black History Month. Best for third- to seventh-graders.
