Re: “A New Ballpark for Richmond

Be glad when this mayor is gone. He has done nothing constructive and given away millions to the Redskins and now we are going to have this ongoing ballpark crap again. Who cares? The city has lots of problems to worry about and the ballpark shouldn't be one of them.

Re: “Trump Rallies in Richmond

The good thing about the Trump rally in Richmond is you can readily tell who all of the ignorant, racist, bigots are.

Re: “Science Museum About To Get Speed

Thanks to the Science Museum for bringing this incredible machine out of the weather. There is still nothing like it... and probably never will be. Wish the F-14 Tomcat could find a home or at least a roof. Thanks again for saying the Blackbird.

Re: “More on the Redskins Training Camp Money Woes

And we are supposed to trust the city about a new ballpark? Anyone with a grain of sense could have told you that Redskin's Park was going to be a boondoggle.

Re: “Marshall Resignation Prompts Lawsuit

The mayor is apparently not aware this is not a monarchy. He needs to go away… the sooner the better. And leave the ballpark where it is.

Re: “Inside Baseball

This is the same obfuscation we get all the time from the mayor. We don't have real figures on all the money spent on Redskin's Park. And now he has another wild hair. The real bottom line is that the only really large sporting event here, actually two, are the NASCAR races at RIR. Also from personal experience no baseball fans have been asked if they want a stadium downtown. Finally, the land where the Diamond is located will be used for Walmart… a great welcome to the city of Richmond.

Re: “In Historic Fan District, Future Comes Calling with Modern Row Houses

As a former house owner on Floyd Ave. and critic of what is being built in Richmond, I am glad to see this positive step being planned. And I agree with "duder" that quality of materials and construction will determine whether the condos will do well. Personally, I think the condos are pretty conservative and not sure they will "stand the test of time" architecturally, but I applaud this step in the right direction for the city. It's time for Richmond to move into the 21st architecturally speaking, and this is a clean, first step.
